Nancy Richmond Rose

Deep Listener. Inspiring. Supportive. Open. Focused.

A little background

I am a Certified Professional Business Coach trained through the Transformation Edge Business Coach Institute and hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I am a member of the global ICF and the Raleigh Chapter and a former PQTM mental fitness coach. Current and past clients include nonprofit and corporate leaders, small business owners, teachers, entrepreneurs, retirees, and students. I coach people from a variety of professions and stages of career and life.

I’ve spent most of my career in the nonprofit space wearing a variety of “hats” from finance and operations to technology to executive leadership. Most of that time was spent with the nonpartisan North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research, and more recently with EducationNC, an innovative new media nonprofit. In 2024, I was honored to receive the Frederick P. Gruenberg lifetime achievement award from the Governmental Research Association in recognition of my years of service and contributions to governmental research.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hold an executive certificate in nonprofit leadership from Duke University and completed the Aspen Institute’s Executive Seminar on Leadership, Values, and the Good Society. I have served North Carolina as a Notary Public since 1985.

It would be my honor and privilege to walk with you on your journey.

What a great experience! I had never gone through a coaching program before, but really enjoyed working with Nancy. She was easy to talk to and was a great listener. I always appreciated how she repeated what she was hearing and asked targeted questions to get me thinking!

I am very grateful to Nancy for helping me navigate the composition of an essay I was writing for graduate school. I had become fixated on the outcome and so stressed out about not getting in that I got completely bogged down in writing something that would be received in what I thought would be a way that people wanted but that did not articulate my passion for the many things that were bringing me to the program in the first place. My conversations with Nancy helped me bring these things back into focus so that I wrote an essay that reflected my true heart and my true passion for the program…. I was accepted into the program I was hoping to get into and I have been able to carry an awareness of my true intentions and motivations into other aspects of my life.
